Ram is a maid in the Mathers mansion along with her twin sister Rem. She is an oni with red-pink eyes and medium length light pink hair that normally covers her left eye. Her hair is adorned with a maid headband along with hair clips and a flower-shaped ribbon on the right side. She typically wears a maid uniform. She is slightly more outgoing than her younger sister but both still tend to keep new acquaintances at arms length.
History
Ram and her sister Rem were born in an Oni village. As twins, they each only possessed one horn as opposed to the two that most other Oni have. According to tradition, they were to be killed to protect the pride of the tribe and race. However before the killing blow could be struck, she displayed a large burst of power which shocked the village and stayed the execution. As the twins grew so too did Ram's powers and she was viewed as a prodigy only seen once in a millennia among Oni kind.
In addition to her massive power, she also excelled at any activity she chose to undertake from cooking to physical activities. Even so, she was never arrogant about her capabilities and in fact went out of her way to watch over her younger sister.
One night six years before the start of the story, her village was attacked by the Witch Cult. Ram fought viciously even after every villager other than her and her sister had died. Even while outnumbered, she kept fighting to save Rem and eventually had her horn sliced off from her head as a result. Both girls would then be saved by Roswaal who took them into his home after the event. They both trained to be maids in the manor but Roswaal would only confide certain truths of the attack on their village to Ram. She also learns of his possession of a gospel and that he let the attack on her village happen to further his own plans. They form a contract that stipulates his life would be hers if the future ever deviated from the gospel's predictions as penance.
Relationships
Rem - Ram cares a great deal about her younger sister Rem. Throughout their time in the village, Ram always looked out for her and supported Rem to try her best. She never flaunted her superior skills but instead encouraged Rem to be the best that she could be. On the day that Subaru wakes up in the Mathers mansion she freely admits that Ram is the superior maid and is better than her at the job. In the timeline where Rem dies from a curse, Ram threatens death on Subaru for even holding back information about the incident. Unfortunately, following Rem's existence being erased by Ley Batenkaitos, Ram completely forgets about her sister and was not bothered at all.
Roswaal L. Mathers - Roswaal saved both of the twins from being murdered along with their village. Through their time together as master and servant, Ram has grown to care deeply for Roswaal even if their goals and ideologies may not always align. Ram relies on Roswaal for regular mana infusions after losing her horn.
Natsuki Subaru - Ram and Subaru's relationship started in dubious circumstances due to the questionable timeframe that Subaru arrived at the Mathers mansion, but eventually she warmed up to him. She helped from more mundane tasks like teaching him to actually read and write to the more harrowing events like fighting off Demon Beasts to save Rem. They are currently amicable friends though she doesn't let him walk over her and is often frank with her advice.
Al - Ram and Al share some kind of past though it has yet to be fully elaborated at this point.
Oni Village - The village that Ram grew up in treated her with reverence. Her father Quark and mother Temae cared deeply for her and were terribly proud of their prodigal daughter's achievements and capabilities.
Abilities
Divine Protection of Clairvoyance - Ram is able to synchronize with the vision of those with the same wavelength as her in order to see through their eyes. She is able to switch continouosly between targets and thus enables her to see across great distances. While using this ability she is unable to defend herself and it causes her veins to become prominent, shed blood tears from one eys, and her legs to shake uncontrollably.
Magic - Ram is a skilled practitioner of Wind Magic and has been shown to cast the spells Fura, El Fura, Ul Fura, and Al Fura.
Synesthesia - Both Ram and her sister share this ability and are able to sense each other's feelings through it.
Oni Bloodline - Even with just one horn Ram was considered to be a prodigy in the Oni tribe. Despite losing it, she can still transform into her Oni form at a great cost to her physical form in order to access the great powers she once wielded easily.
Maid - She is trained as a maid for the Mathers mansion although her younger sister Rem performs most of the daily chores.
In addition to her skills and abilities Ram uses a wand that was created from her horn by Roswaal. It acts as a conduit for mana to reduce the burden of using magic.
