Haikyu!! 1 - Nendoroid

Haikyu!! is a popular shōnen manga about two unlikely friends who dream big and cooperate in creative ways to win and their high school volleyball team's journey to the top. The story of a short young boy who wishes to become a great volleyball player. He goes through many hardships due to his short stature but he persists and keeps working hard for his goal.

It is written by Haruichi Furudate, serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since 2012, and won the 61st Shōgakukan Manga Award in the shōnen category in 2016. Over 40 bound volumes have been released by Shūeisha.

It was also animated, with 4 seasons and several OVAs spanning 2014 to 2020. The manga spin-off Haikyūbu!! also started serialization in 2019, and several Haikyu!! games are out for the Nintendo 3DS. A radio drama was also released as early as in 2012.

The Haikyu!! series is massively popular with many products released. Fans are able to enjoy all sorts of Haikyu!! Merchandise including the popular figures and Nendoroids. The first Haikyu!! Nendoroids came out in 2015, when Haikyu!! went really popular. Since then, this series has been gaining momentum until every meaningful character had their Nendoroid version available, and several figurines have had an updated version released.

#461 Shoyo Hinata

Shoyo Hinata is the main protagonist of the Haikyu!! series. Before enrolling in Karasuno High, Hinata spent two years as the single member of his junior school's volleyball club, focusing on a wing spiker position. During his time at Karasuno, he became the team's middle blocker player. After graduating from high school, Hinata trained in Brazil for a couple of years by playing beach volleyball, eventually returning back home and entering the National Volleyball league with a placement in MSBY Black Jackals. This Nendoroid depicts Hinata in his Karasuno High Volleyball Club uniform. He has a very cheerful personality with a massive amount of energy packed into his small body. Shoyo is slightly simple-minded, resulting in him making silly decisions without realizing it.

#489 Tobio Kageyama

Known as "The King of the Court" by other players, Tobio Kageyama plays the deuteragonist role in the series, up with fellow player Shoyo Hinata as first-year students in Karasuno high school. His nickname is given to him not only for his skills as a prodigy in the sport but also for his attitude and actions he takes when playing in a team. In the beginning, he came off as a perfectionist who only cared about winning the game and who ordered the other players around like a king. At the age of 19, he would join the Japanese national team, and go on to compete in the 2016 Rio Olympics. This Nendoroid depicts Kageyama in his Karasuno High Volleyball Club uniform.

#528b Shoyo Hinata: Jersey Ver.

Alongside Shoyo Hinata’s High School uniform appearance, this Nendoroid depicts Hinata in a more casual appearance. With his white training shirt underneath, Hinata covers it by wearing an "ics" jersey, a word-play on the real-world brand "ASICS". While his usual team uniform is a very familiar sight to see, being able to admire Hinata in casual clothes is something to enjoy. Additional pieces in the set allow Hinata to be depicted in an outdoor setting.
