Idolish7 is a media franchise created by Bandai Namco, originally starting as a mobile rhythm game on both Android and IOS in 2015. It features 7 different unique male idol characters who perform the songs used throughout the game, the player takes the role of Tsumugi Takanashi, the female manager in charge of the idol group, with the responsibility of training the idol members through the core gameplay loop.

The mobile game has been very successful, with numerous spin-off works, covering the bases of console video game releases, several manga releases, and a complete anime series. As of April 2020, the second series of an anime adaptation began airing weekly in Japan.

History of Idolish7 Nendoroids

With Sogo Osaka being released in late 2018 alongside Tamaki Yotsuba, and only having four Nendoroids released as of early 2020, new additions to the series are slow to come by but are always released with multiple figures in a close timeframe, allowing cast members to seen together by interested collectors.

#905 Sogo Osaka

Osaka is one of the seven members of the IDOLISH7 idol group and is typically seen as a more calm and more collected character. He also has the capability of having his boundaries pushed to invoke his scary menacing side. Sogo is known to strive for perfection, having a distaste for anything that makes him seen as a weak person. He was brought up in a strict household that followed a proper structure leading to him suppressing most of his desires. Even if he feels different he usually keeps silent as he doesn’t want to cause trouble among the other members. This Nendoroid shows Osaka to match the character art used in his Ordinary Days SR and SSR ranked cards.

Osaka comes with two different prop items that can be held in his hand, with the options of him posing with his handy screwdriver or with a bottle of Tabasco sauce. Three different faceplates are also included within the package, allowing Osaka to display expressions. The first expression shows his standard face where he is smiling gently with his mouth slightly open. The second expression shows a more open smile with his eyebrows lifting slightly higher and blush marks. Finally, the last face plate shows another kind smile and his eyes shut with blush staining his cheeks. Although all his face plates appear to be smiling, when paired with the optional parts his smile hides a sinister side to him which can happen when he is pushed to the edge.

#926 Tamaki Yotsuba

Yotsuba is one of the seven members of the IDOLISH7 idol group, with his carefree sense of attitude, Yotsuba thinks with his heart instead. As he speaks without thinking too much he often offends people since he doesn’t worry about proper manners at times. While he isn’t good at thinking with his head, he is very sensitive to people and the changes in their emotions. He doesn’t mind being told off as he can tell it is with a good heart but if he senses anger in their words he is quick to get upset.

Yotsuba wasn’t someone with money to spare resulting in his tastes preferring cheap snacks as it is something he is used to. His love for the King Pudding is one of his well-known traits. Thanks to his great passion for the sweet treat, pudding is becoming well adored by some of the game's real-world fans. The Nendoroid version of Yotsuba is based on his Ordinary Days SR and SSR ranked card character art.

Yotsuba is paired with his favorite King Pudding pillow buddy, complete with a golden crown. The King Pudding can both be posed standing on its own, or grasped within the hands of Yotsuba. Three different facial expressions are also included with alternative face plates, allowing Yotsuba to recreate different scenes from the series. The first one shows his standard expression where he looks neutral with his mouth slightly open. The second face plate shows Yotsuba with a very joyous smile as he closes both of his eyes and grins while showing his teeth. Lastly, the third face plate shows Yotsuba with a brave-looking expression where his eyes are sharp and mouth open in a smile as though he is very confident. The Yotsuba Nendoroid wears very casual clothing which consists of a gray hoodie with cat ears on the head. His shirt is blue with the words King Pudding written in Japanese.

#1019 Tenn Kujo

Kujo is a member of the TRIGGER group and twin brother of Idolish7's Riku Nanase. With his almost emotionless or nulled-out persona off the stage, when performing for the group he seeks perfection and thinks about the love of his fans. He is just like a real-life angel who is very sweet, kind, and innocent however, this is only an act when he is on stage. The Nendoroid version of Kujo displays his attire as seen in his Ordinary Days SR and SSR ranked cards.

#1027 Riku Nanase

Nanase is a member of the IDOLISH7 idol group and younger twin brother to TRIGGER's Tenn Kujo. His naive nature comes from his extended experience of living in hospitals when growing up, which makes his physique very fragile. Much like his twin brother, his Nendoroid release also uses his Ordinary Days SR and SSR ranked card character art as his sculptured appearance.
