OtapediaGirl's Frontline - Nendoroid

Girls’ Frontline is a mobile strategy game developed by a Taiwanese team MicaTeam. Initially released into the Chinese market in 2016 and expanding into other limited Asian markets throughout 2017, the game did not get an English release until May 2018, with a localized Japanese release made a couple of months later.

The game plays around strategy within a combat scenario, fighting battles against enemy troops with squads of Tactical Dolls (or T-Dolls for short) which are acquired through a gacha-based system. Each T-Doll in the game is named and based on a firearm which would be used in battle, allowing players to form squads (known as echelons) to complete missions in the game.

History of Girls' Frontline Nendoroids

First releasing Springfield in October 2019, a handful of Tactical Dolls Girls’ Frontline merchandise has been added to the collection as time goes on with some being available for preorder and ready for release in late 2020.

#1087 Springfield

The M1903 Springfield was initially created in 1903 by the American manufacturer Springfield Armory. With over 3 million rifles built in its almost 50-year production life, the rifle has become well known throughout American history. The Tactical Doll was drawn by artist Duoyuanjun (多元菌), who has also contributed several other designs for the game. Springfield was designed as a big sister type of character who is very kind. However, when she fights she becomes serious and wields her rifle with precision.

Her outfit is seen in the game and is inspired by vintage American army uniforms in the 1770s. The army started wearing proper uniforms where they wore white pants, a red shirt, and a blue coat over top of it. They also wore a sash on both sides resulting in a cross shape across their chest. Springfield's outfit fits the color scheme perfectly with a similar design.

#1146 416

The HK416 Tactical Doll in Girls’ Frontline was designed by artist NIXOO. It was originally designed and manufactured in 2004 by Heckler & Koch, the rifle has been used extensively throughout the world's military forces. When designing the character, NIXOO took inspiration from other Assault Rifle designs in the game and adapted a more German feature into her character.

The mostly black color scheme with red highlights is reminiscent of the nazi flag. Her green-colored eyes give her more German features.

#1264 UMP45

Designed by seasoned Girls’ Frontline artist ZAGALA, the UMP45 Tactical Doll has been one very well recognized character from the title, sometimes appearing as a mascot with her sister weapon, the UMP9. The T-Doll is an adaption of the weapon of the same name developed in 1999 by German rifle manufacturer Heckler & Koch and is still used to this day. What makes the UMP45 unique from other models under the UMP name is that it is chambered with .45 ACP cartridges.
