Vocaloid is a voice synthesizer software developed by the Yamaha Corporation which was first released in January 2004. Certain popular voice banks have animated personifications, the most popular of which being Crypton Future Media’s Hatsune Miku whose voice is based on voice actor Fujita Saki. The more popular voice banks have even had concerts, where their music is performed while a projection of their personification performs on stage.

List of Vocaloid Nendoroids

Kagamine Len is a Vocaloid who was introduced in Crypton Future Media’s Character Vocal Series. Len, along with his twin sister Rin, were sampled from the voice of voice actress Shimoda Asami. This Nendoroid figure of Len shows him in his original outfit which, like Hatsune Miku, is reminiscent of a Japanese school uniform with slightly fashionable and futuristic styles to it. He has spikey yellow hair which is his theme color and is used as highlights for his outfit.

This figure includes four face plates; a neutral smiling expression, a mouth open smiling expression, a blushing expression, and a blank customizable face plate. This figure also includes a keytar part which can be displayed around his shoulder and held in his hand. This figure’s parts are cross-compatible with the Nendoroid Kagamine Rin figure (sold separately).

#039 Kagamine Rin

Kagamine Rin is a Vocaloid who was introduced in Crypton Future Media’s Character Vocal Series. Rin, along with her twin brother Len, were sampled from the voice of voice actress Asami Shimoda. Among the two of them, Rin was designed first, and Len was designed to reflect her. This Nendoroid figure shows Kagamine Rin wearing her original outfit which is reminiscent of a schoolgirl outfit and matches her brother Len’s outfit. She has the same style shirt however hers is sleeveless and with a large yellow ribbon instead of a necktie. Her pants are shorter than Len’s to give her a girlish style.

The Kagamine Rin Nendoroid comes with four different face plates to enjoy different situations. Her first face plate is a standard smiling expression and the second one shows her also with a happy expression but her a wider and open mouth smile. The third face plate is in a chibi style where her eyes have been drawn with a simple style and her mouth is wide open to show she is very excited. Lastly, the fourth face plate is blank and customizable allowing the fans to make whatever expression they want to see. This figure also includes a microphone part that she can hold in her hand to pretend to sing. This figure’s parts are cross-compatible with the Nendoroid Kagamine Len figure.

#302 Kagamine Len: Append

The Kagamine Len: Append figure features Len in his Append outfit. Append is an updated voicebank for Kagamine Rin & Len, and gives both of them updated voices and character designs. His Append version outfit is similar to his original clothes however, it has a more futuristic and sci-fi style to it. The clothes look to be skin tight but easy to move in as though he was wearing a futuristic space suit.

This figure includes three different face plates; a wide smiling expression where he has his mouth open. The next face plate also shows Len happy but this time grinning while showing his teeth. The last face plate shows a playful Kagamine Len as he smiles and closes one of his eyes for a winking expression. This figure also includes a special display arm and background panel that allow you to pose the figure back-to-back with the Nendoroid Kagamine Rin: Append figure.

Megurine Luka is a Vocaloid who was introduced as the third character of Crypton Future Media’s Character Vocal Series. Megurine Luka’s voice was sampled from voice actress Yū Asakawa.

Kaito is a Vocaloid that was developed by the Yamaha Corporation. Kaito was originally known as ‘Taro’ during production, and the name Kaito was determined by public choice. Kaito’s voice was created using samples from Naoto Fūga.
